■ "Traditional Performing Arts in a Historic Residence: Nishiki Kage-e Project 3" with Nishiki Kage-e Ikeda-gimi – Performance Announcement
A performance of Nishiki Kage-e by the Nishiki Kage-e Ikeda-gumi will be held at the Former Ueda Family Residence, a designated cultural property of Yao City, Osaka Prefecture,
located at the Yasunaka Shinden Meeting Hall Site.
The 2025 edition of Nishiki Kage-e Project 3 marks the third year of this project that began in 2023. This year, eight new gentōshi (magic lantern performers) ranging in age from 9 to their 70s have joined the troupe,
beginning new creative activities together.
Twice a month training sessions from June to November, the project members have refined their performances and will present Nishiki Kage-e programs as gentōshi on November 9, 2025.
We warmly invite you to attend and enjoy this special presentation.
■Date and Time: Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. (Performance lasts approximately 60 minutes)
